Many of you have written or phoned, and wanted to know my reactions to the recent Bush signing of the 2257 ammendment. Some people warned me not to speak about this openly, and not to be too crass in my statements. I think it is nothing less than dismaying that any human being in the United States should need to worry about stating their opinions, for fear of backlash from the government. I will not walk differently, talk differently, or live my life differently, in order to please the Bush administration. For those who do not know, the “2257″ law requires secondary porn producers to list a physical address, where the FBI can inspect their records. Records would be anything from recordings of cam shows to your photo i.d. and proof of your age. For websites who use models, the model proof of legal age and etc. must also be documented. The government NEVER once inspected these records for months….then years. Well, last year Mr. Bush decided that merely enforcing his right to have the records inspected would not be enough. He decided to make request that the physical addresses of secondary producers be made public record. Listed to clients, the teacher up the street, the lawyer from downtown….whomever chooses to look at them. Now to any rational person, this is insane. But then we are talking about Mr. Bush here, folks. Why is this insane? Okay – I am counted as being the secondary producer of any content I put on my sites that is not my own photos. My own photos, I am the primary producer of. In both events, I must list my address to anyone and everyone, under the new laws – IF I display a nipple or a shot of my cunt. We all know that won’t be happening (stop dreaming), but the fact that I am being told what I can NOT do, and the fact that the women who choose to display such photos, are being railroaded into doing what Bush sees fit – is sickening. What if a lady has children? What if her elderly Dad lives with her? She must then put their safety, as well as her own in jeperady, by giving her address out publicly. Most of my clients are wonderful people…. so far as I know. But just as I know how my own twisted mind works, I know anyone I speak to could be Dahmer in his true existence. I can be Dahmer too. He doesnt know what I am capable of vise versa. Thus the beauty and safety of distance training and phone based interaction. I receive hate mail weekly. Morons telling me just what a man hating beast I am, and how “all women like me should be taken down and put in their proper place”. While the person who would write such an email is obviously unstable and insecure, I would not like having to worry about him having my house location, so that he could come work out his delusions by torching me as I sleep, or some such cowardly action. My chosen profession of a pro Domme , should be just that- A CHOICE. When an individual chooses a legal profession, that individual should be able to operate in the capacity of that career, without being subjected to harm or unsafe conditions. The fact that the far right wing continues to push its agenda under the guise of protecting children from predators, should be enough to get all of our attentions. Todays most recent tightening of the reigns, came when Bush signed the 4472(Adam Walsh) bill, includes any form of nudity as qualifying for a need of an address listed. Will we need to take fine art from our schools, because we do not have a model release in the files of Michelangelo? Will we need to list a movie directers address at the beginning of a flim if there is a flash of nipple shown in a love scene? Will I need to hire security to walk out to my gardens at night, if I decide to show a shot of my bare breasts, simply because I felt like it? I have never been one to shut up because it would behoove me not to draw attention to myself. This is no exception. While this law might not affect MY site, it affects my freedom and I will never tolerate that without making some noise. I urge you to join the free speech coalition here. I urge you to write or phone your congressperson and voice your opposition to censorship. You can do so anonymously. Someday the issue will be one that effects you, and then….who will speak up for you? The time to protect your rights to view what you please. and to express yourself as you please, is NOW. Let me further say that I am a strong advocate of childerns rights. I in NO way protect the producers of child porn or the abuse of children. I fully support having ID’s to prove a models age, and my own age. What I do not support is the governments attempt to strong arm me out of my chosen profession, by trying to make me subject myself to unsafe conditions if I choose to do something they feel is immoral. I also resent the name of Adam Walsh being used to glorify this attempt at control by the government. Adam Walsh was subjected to a horrible crime and my heart goes out to his spirit. However the majority of those in the porn industry are ethical buisnesspeople, myself included, and we had and have nothing to do with the savage murder of this child. Using his case and his name as a means to promote this bill is an insult to his memory as far as I am concerned. Commercialization of a childs death, for the right wings gain is “acceptable”, yet making an honest living using my sexuality and my mind is not. What a twisted way to exist. Speak out if you dare.
